Where is your focus?

  • 1:20 min

Have you ever considered where your attention is focused?

Often, we assume we’re paying attention to what matters, but instead, we dwell on problems, lack, and what’s missing.

We constantly worry about children, finances, retirement, and health.

We focus on what we don’t want, hoping for a different outcome, but fearing it won’t materialise.

Does this sound like a recipe for success? Certainly not!

Recognise that where we direct our attention is what grows.

If we focus on what we don’t desire, we create more of it.

There’s a simpler way to use our attention for our benefit.

Firstly, notice where your thoughts go.

When they drift to worry or fear, interrupt and choose not to focus on the negative.

Secondly, look at the positive side.

Always consider what’s going right.

Focus on positive outcomes and feel emotions of confidence and peace.

Thirdly, don’t let fear hold you back.

When you focus on desired outcomes, fear will try to deter you.

Successful people see fear as a challenge.

They focus on success, undeterred by obstacles, confident in their ability to overcome them.

And that person is you.

You may think you’re ill-equipped for challenges, but haven’t you faced and surmounted them all your life

Challenges will arise whether you focus on the negative or the positive.

So why not use the power of your attention to invite more goodness into your life?

This isn’t mere theory; it’s how the Universe works.

Where your attention goes, energy flows.

Let it work for you.
