I went to see Come Fall in Love – The DDLJ Musical last week, and it was an absolute feast for the senses.
The colour, the music, the energy – it was uplifting, joyful and visually stunning. But what stayed with me most was the story beneath the spectacle.
At its heart, it’s about a young woman torn between honouring her family’s cultural expectations and choosing her own path. It’s also about how love – and courage – can help bridge very different worlds.
As someone who works with couples, families and professionals navigating conflict, this really resonated.
We often think of difficult conversations as heavy or uncomfortable. But just like this musical, there’s a way to hold serious themes with warmth and humanity – to create space for people to be heard, to reflect, and to move forward with clarity and compassion.
That’s what I aim to do in every mediation or coaching conversation I hold. Not to fix people’s problems, but to help them find their own way through – with support, respect and constructive dialogue.
Come Fall in Love reminded me that connection is always possible – even when we come from very different places.
